Overview

This legionella control for responsible persons course will ensure that you or your employee understand the effects of legionella bacteria on the body and the impact an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease would have on your business. It covers how to identify and control the risks associated with legionella bacteria and how legislation and codes of practice can support its control.

The one day course is delivered in association with an approved contractor who are members of the Legionella Control Association.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for the “responsible person” or “duty holder” and their nominated deputies and will ensure that they have the capability and skills for the confident management of legionella and water hygiene issues.

This includes employers, self-employed people and anyone else in control of a premises, such as landlords and letting agents.

Requirements

Candidates are not required to have any prior knowledge or qualifications in legionella
awareness to enable them to attend this course.


However, it is recommended that candidates have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or
equivalent.
